《新編英國文學(xué)史教程》的編寫針對現(xiàn)行同類教材語言生澀、內(nèi)容繁雜的現(xiàn)狀,以知識性和易讀性為宗旨,以我國英語專業(yè)本科教學(xué)大綱為指導(dǎo),充分考慮我國英語專業(yè)本科學(xué)生的英語語言實(shí)際水平,兼顧部分高校英國文學(xué)課程開設(shè)時間較短的現(xiàn)實(shí),把握英國文學(xué)史整體框架,以文學(xué)發(fā)展不同時期為單位,把歷史背景、文學(xué)運(yùn)動、文學(xué)流派和作家作品的介紹凝練化、條理化,利于學(xué)生在有限的時間里構(gòu)建一個比較系統(tǒng)完整的英國文學(xué)知識體系。同時,為幫助學(xué)生理清基本文學(xué)概念,方便學(xué)生對英國文學(xué)知識系統(tǒng)準(zhǔn)確的掌握和鞏固,還特別增加了文學(xué)術(shù)語界定、章節(jié)練習(xí)題等內(nèi)容,保證了教材的知識性和實(shí)用性。
