本書收錄了一系列有關視頻通信與網(wǎng)絡各方面近期新進展的論文.每篇論文自成一章，分別由視頻通信與網(wǎng)絡的很好專家撰寫，共14章。每章的作者至少有一位是中國科學技術大學的校友。本書主要涉及以下幾個方面的研究內(nèi)容：視覺信號的獲取、處理，視覺傳感器網(wǎng)絡、視頻信號編碼與多尺度視頻編碼標準及其系統(tǒng)實現(xiàn)，視頻通信系統(tǒng)中抗誤差技術及媒體安全傳輸技術，新穎的分布式視頻編碼技術的發(fā)展與挑戰(zhàn)，以及各種各樣的現(xiàn)代移動視頻技術的近期新進展。
